Estimating Porosity From a Whole Slide Image –
PETROG will capture a mosaic of images covering the whole slide (or polished block) and stitch these together to make a single virtual image, which may then be manipulated, analysed, using sophisticated image analysis, and viewed, using pan and zoom. Unique features of PETROG’s image capabilities include simultaneous view of PPL and XPL images and patented colour space analysis based on Machine Learning.

In the package of PETROG, a High-resolutionDigital Video Cameraand a suitable C-mount Adapter arealso included. This camera provides superior image quality for petrographic analysis, an adequate resolution to print high-quality pictures for reports and a sufficient speed of response. However, the Camera and C-mount Adapter are notapplicable to the lighter version i.e.PetrogLite.
