New Salt in Crude Analyzer

Salt in Crude Analyzer K23060

Koehler Instrument Company, Inc. (USA) is pleased to introduce the newly upgraded Salts in Crude Analyzer (K23060). This analyzer measures the conductivity of a solution of crude oil in a mixed alcohol solvent when subjected to an electrical stressor. The chloride (salt) content is obtained by reference to a calibration curve of current, versus chloride concentration of known mixtures.

The salts in crude analyzer conforms to ASTM D3230 and related specifications. The unit consists of an electrometric salt determinator which measures salt content, conductivity and temperature of crude oil samples, as well as pH measurements of aqueous samples. It measures salt concentration in the range of 0 to 150 PTB (lb/1000 bbl). This compact instrument is highly portable for field or laboratory testing with a LiPo battery. Data storage holds up to 12 test results.

The Salts in Crude Analyzer employs low-voltage, synchronous detection technology for conductivity measurements and includes an extremely accurate thermistor array to calculate sample temperature. In addition, this innovative apparatus calculates salt concentration directly from acquired temperature and conductivity values. Furthermore, for increased efficiency, a self-calibration feature allows the operator to easily adjust for any drift without having to re-enter standard temperature curves. This state-of-the-art instrument also includes an easy-to-read 2.6? TFT-LCD display which shows up to four of the following parameters concurrently, as chosen by the operator: salts, conductivity, conductivity at 25?C, pH, pH millivolts, temperature (?C or ?F), battery level, date, time and indicator.
