The Water/Liquid Oxidation Baths are precision-engineered constant temperature baths designed for heating oxidation pressure vessels in accordance with ASTM and international test methods. Available in two- and six-unit configurations, these baths deliver exceptional temperature stability, safety, and durability, making them ideal for oxidation stability testing of petroleum fuels, lubricants, and related materials.
The Koehler Water/Liquid Oxidation Baths are designed to conform to ASTM D525, ASTM D873, and equivalent standards for determining the oxidation stability of gasoline, aviation fuels, lubricants, and other petroleum products.
Two configurations are available to suit different testing requirements:
Two-Unit Analog-Controlled Water Bath – Equipped with low liquid level controllers, a brass reflux condenser to minimize evaporation, and an overflow standpipe/drain to automatically maintain bath depth. This compact model can be flush-mounted into a laboratory benchtop, ensuring efficient use of workspace.
Six-Unit Microprocessor-Controlled Water/Oil Bath – Features digital dual LED temperature displays (setpoint and actual), microprocessor PID temperature control for rapid stabilization without overshoot, and automatic over-temperature protection circuitry for added safety. This model accommodates water or oil bath mediums, offering versatility for multiple ASTM oxidation tests.
Both models include double-wall insulated stainless steel construction, support racks, and port covers for improved energy efficiency and operator safety.
Optional interchangeable racks allow compliance with ASTM D942, ASTM D323, and ASTM D1298 test methods—available upon request.
Conforms to multiple ASTM and ISO standards for oxidation testing
Two configurations available: 2-unit analog bath and 6-unit digital bath
Microprocessor temperature control (6-unit model) for precise, overshoot-free heating
Dual LED displays for setpoint and actual temperature in °C/°F
Automatic over-temperature cutoff for added safety
Low liquid level controllers prevent dry operation
Reflux condenser (2-unit model) minimizes evaporation loss during long test durations
Overflow standpipe/drain maintains optimal bath depth automatically
Compatible with both water and oil bath mediums
Double-wall insulated stainless steel tank with durable, corrosion-resistant construction
Interchangeable racks available for ASTM D942, D323, and D1298
Can be flush-mounted into laboratory workstations (2-unit version)
Engineered for precision, safety, and compliance.
The Water/Liquid Oxidation Baths provide exceptional temperature control and reliability for oxidation stability testing of petroleum products. With robust stainless steel construction, microprocessor or analog control, and ASTM-conforming safety features, these baths ensure accurate, repeatable results for laboratories performing ASTM D525, D873, and related oxidation tests.
