The Constant Temperature Bath with Stirrers is a precision-engineered system designed for evaluating the rust-preventing characteristics of lubricants and petroleum products in accordance with ASTM D665 and ASTM D3603 standards. It ensures accurate and repeatable testing by maintaining stable temperature conditions and consistent agitation of sample-water mixtures.
The system features high-performance stirrers operating at 1000 rpm, ensuring uniform mixing throughout the test cycle. The bath maintains temperature stability within ±0.5°C (±1°F), delivering reliable and reproducible results. Test beakers are immersed at the correct depth as specified by ASTM standards, ensuring compliance and consistency.
Equipped with advanced microprocessor PID temperature control, the bath provides rapid heat-up and stabilization without overshoot. Dual LED displays allow easy monitoring of both actual and setpoint temperatures in °C/°F. An integrated over-temperature protection system automatically interrupts power if the bath exceeds the programmed safety limit.
The unit includes stainless steel stirrer paddles driven by a ball-bearing motor and a robust pulley drive system, ensuring smooth and durable operation. Adjustable paddles can be raised or lowered to facilitate easy placement and removal of sample beakers. The bath is constructed from high-quality stainless steel and includes a perforated support shelf and a two-position cover plate compatible with both ASTM D665 and D3603 testing methods.
