The CF Cell Disruptor is engineered for efficient Continuous Flow Processing, offering two high-performance models: CF1, capable of processing up to 6 L per hour, and CF2, delivering up to 24 L per hour. Both models share the same advanced processing technology and differ only in throughput capacity, allowing laboratories to choose the system best suited to their volume requirements.
Designed for precision and reliability, the CF Cell Disruptor operates at a maximum process pressure of 40kpsi (2700 bar) and incorporates an intuitive HMI control system for easy operation. An integrated sample cooling jacket ensures temperature control during processing, preserving sample integrity. The 200mL inlet reservoir (hopper) and auto shut-down feature enhance workflow efficiency and operator safety.
Powered by Constant Systems’ precise and consistent hydraulic control, the CF range delivers fully scalable performance—from small-scale 0.5mL preparations to large-volume processing at up to 150 L per hour within the broader product range. This precision ensures that every sample is processed exactly at the set pressure, providing accurate, consistent, and reproducible results. In most applications, a single pass is sufficient, eliminating the need for multiple cycles.
Both CF1 and CF2 models are suitable for fluid and re-suspended samples and are widely used for processing bacteria, yeast, algae, and other biological materials. Their scalability, reliability, and consistent performance make them ideal for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and research laboratories requiring controlled and high-efficiency cell disruption.
CF1 Model
The CF1 features a compact footprint of approximately 700mm², making it suitable for bench mounting, although it is ideally used with its purpose-built trolley. The trolley positions the system at an optimal working height and includes full swivel, lockable casters for safe and easy mobility. Designed for process volumes ranging from 15mL to 10L, the CF1 can also be equipped with an integrated peristaltic pump controlled via the HMI, ensuring continuous feeding of the inlet reservoir and preventing sample settling during recirculation until processing is complete.
CF2 Model
With a footprint of approximately 700mm², the CF2 is a floor-standing model designed for process volumes ranging from 15mL to 100L. It comes standard with an integrated peristaltic pump to ensure continuous and efficient sample feeding during operation. Mounted on full swivel, lockable castors, the CF2 allows safe and easy movement within the laboratory whenever required.
