The Linkam LTS120 Temperature Controlled Stage is an easy‑to‑use, Peltier‑driven microscope stage designed for accurate and repeatable temperature control in a wide range of scientific applications including materials research, polymers, pharmaceuticals, and liquid crystal analysis. It offers a controlled temperature range from ‑40 °C (with optional water chiller) up to 120 °C, without the need for liquid nitrogen, providing a highly convenient and cost‑effective solution for thermal studies.
The stage features a 40 mm × 40 mm temperature‑controlled element that accommodates standard 76 mm × 26 mm microscope slides, ensuring excellent thermal uniformity across the sample. A 100 Ω platinum resistance sensor is embedded close to the sample surface to deliver high temperature accuracy and stability (±0.1 °C), even during fast heating or cooling ramps of up to 30 °C/min.
For ease of operation, the LTS120 includes 15 mm XY sample manipulation, allowing precise positioning without disturbing the thermal environment. The swing‑out lid design enables rapid sample loading and exchange, while integrated gas valves allow purging with inert gas or controlled atmospheres, making it suitable for humidity‑ or oxidation‑sensitive experiments.
The LTS120 system is controlled via Linkam’s T96‑P touchscreen controller or compatible LINK/NEXUS software, enabling temperature profiling, data logging, charting, and PC‑based experiment control. Optional configurations, such as the LTS120E, include electrical feedthroughs for in‑situ electrical measurements during temperature variation, expanding the system’s analytical capabilities
