eraflash is a fully automatic flash point tester designed for fast and safe flash point measurement using only 2 mL of sample. Compliant with ASTM D6450, ASTM D7094, IP620, and equivalent to ASTM D93 Pensky Martens, it uses a continuously closed cup method with electric arc ignition to deliver accurate and reliable flash point results.
eraflash is a fully automatic continuously closed cup flash point tester designed for fast, safe, and highly accurate flash point testing across petroleum, chemical, fuel, lubricant, food, and fragrance industries. Using only 1 mL to 2 mL of sample, eraflash delivers reliable flash point results in compliance with ASTM D6450, ASTM D7094, IP620, and equivalent ASTM D93 Pensky Martens standards.
ASTM D6450 was the first continuously closed cup flash point method and requires only 1 mL of sample. ASTM D7094, the modified CCCFP method, uses 2 mL of sample and a different heating rate to provide results with no statistical bias compared to ASTM D93 Pensky Martens. This makes eraflash suitable for both routine quality control and official fuel specification testing.
The analyzer is approved for flash point testing of fuel oil, diesel fuel, jet fuel, kerosene, gas turbine fuel oil, biodiesel blends, and other petroleum products. It is widely used for compliance with standards such as ASTM D396, ASTM D1655, ASTM D975, ASTM D3699, ASTM D2880, and ASTM D7467.
eraflash uses patented PBT – Peltier Boost Technology® to deliver an unmatched flash point testing range from -25 °C to 420 °C with a single instrument. This advanced technology protects the Peltier elements during heating and cooling cycles, significantly reducing turnaround time while enabling high-speed testing at both low and high temperatures.
The analyzer also includes CPT – Contamination Prevention Technology™, combining self-cleaning functions and advanced electrode protection to reduce maintenance and cleaning requirements. Together with the low sample volume and rapid temperature stabilization, this technology supports high sample throughput in busy laboratories and industrial environments.
For density measurement, eraflash can be directly connected to eradens xs. This integration allows density results to be displayed directly on the analyzer within seconds, making it a complete solution for fuel, lubricant, chemical, food, beverage, and fragrance testing.
The instrument features a built-in quality control mode, allowing users to define warning limits for QC samples. If a measurement falls outside the specified range, the system automatically displays an alert. QC charts are also available for long-term statistical evaluation and drift analysis.
The flash point testing process is simple and user-friendly. Operators enter the sample ID, select the method, add the sample to the cup, and press RUN. The analyzer automatically visualizes the test process, showing temperature changes, pressure increase after ignition, and corrected flash point results based on atmospheric pressure.
eraflash also provides Combustion Graphics™, which help users study combustion behavior and flash point characteristics in detail. This makes the analyzer ideal for research and development, laboratory analysis, and routine quality control.
