eraflash lt is an advanced low-temperature flash point tester designed for fast, safe, and highly accurate flash point testing of fuels, solvents, chemicals, crude oils, fragrances, and volatile liquids. Based on the proven performance of eraflash, eraflash lt is specially optimized for low-temperature applications and fully complies with ASTM D7094 and IP620 methods.
The analyzer uses advanced stacked Peltier technology to deliver faster cooling rates and significantly improve low-temperature flash point testing. Compared to conventional systems, the cooling speed is increased by approximately 35%, allowing users to achieve higher sample throughput and shorter turnaround times.
Without external cooling, eraflash lt can reach temperatures approximately 35 °C below ambient conditions. With external water cooling, the instrument can achieve oven temperatures as low as -40 °C, making it ideal for testing fuels, ethanol, solvents, crude oils, fragrances, and volatile petroleum products with flash points below ambient temperature.
Unlike traditional low-temperature flash point methods, eraflash lt does not require dry ice or other cooling substances. This simplifies operation, reduces costs, and improves laboratory safety. The instrument also includes an automatic coolant valve that shuts off coolant flow when not needed, minimizing condensation and preventing unnecessary ice formation.
To further improve performance, eraflash lt uses a cooling cup that protects the oven surface from ambient air and prevents ice formation during the cooling cycle. It is also possible to pre-cool the sample before measurement for even greater precision.
The analyzer is especially useful for applications where flash points are below 0 °C. According to ASTM D7094 and IP620, measurements must begin 18 °C below the expected flash point. For example, ethanol with a flash point near 12 °C requires a starting temperature of approximately -6 °C. eraflash lt is specifically designed to handle these conditions quickly and efficiently.
The instrument features a simple 4-step measurement process: enter the sample ID, select the method, add the sample, and press RUN. During the test, the display shows sample temperature, oven temperature, and pressure increase after ignition. Results are automatically corrected for atmospheric pressure, rounded according to standards, and saved for future reference.
