The KV3000 and KV4000 Constant Temperature Baths are designed for high-precision glass capillary viscometry, providing accurate temperature control from ambient up to 150°C (302°F). The KV4000 model enhances efficiency by allowing viscometer constants to be entered directly, enabling automatic calculation and display of viscosity units or efflux times.
Both models feature dual digital displays for setpoint and actual bath temperatures, push-button operation, and integrated timing functions for each viscometer. KV3000 provides seven individual digital timers, while KV4000 includes a LCD microcomputer with automatic viscosity calculation.
Constructed with a clear Pyrex bath chamber in a durable polyester-epoxy finished steel housing, these baths accommodate seven viscometers with glare-free viewing and background baffles for easy observation. Motorized stirrers ensure uniform temperature distribution, while built-in over-temperature and low-liquid level safety circuits prevent unsafe operation.
Optional external cooling enables sub-ambient operation down to 10°C, making these baths versatile for various laboratory viscosity applications. RS232 communication is included for automated data acquisition with KV4000.
