This programmable low-temperature viscosity bath is designed for accurate dynamic viscosity testing of lubricants, gear oils, transmission fluids, and hydraulic oils. The bath accommodates up to 10 samples and keeps sample cells immersed throughout the complete soaking and testing process, eliminating temperature changes caused by sample transfer.

The microprocessor PID controller can store up to 40 temperature profiles to match ASTM D2983 cooling requirements. The system provides excellent temperature stability and uniformity from ambient down to -55 °C, exceeding ASTM performance standards.

The redesigned viscometer mounting position allows easier access to samples and controls. A front viewing window with glare-free lighting provides clear visibility during testing. The bath features a durable polyester-epoxy finished steel cabinet, chemical-resistant top surface, removable insulated cover, and adjustable leveling feet.

For added safety, the system includes probe fault detection, redundant temperature protection, and a latching safety controller to prevent overheating and operational faults.
