The Automatic Abel Flash Point Tester is designed for testing flammable and combustible materials for shipping, storage, and safety compliance. It offers an extended operating range up to 110 °C and can be used down to -30 °C with an external chiller, providing greater flexibility for flash point testing.
Testing is simple and automated. The operator places the filled flash cup into position and selects either a pre-programmed or custom test method. The instrument then performs the test automatically to deliver accurate and repeatable results. A quick search mode is also available for determining the flash point of unknown samples.
The system features dual thermal and ionization detection for reliable testing of different sample types. It supports both gas flame ignition and electric ignition, along with built-in safety cut-off devices for secure operation.
Flash point results are automatically corrected to standard atmospheric pressure. A differential Pt-100 RTD probe is used to match the response time of a mercury-in-glass thermometer, while multiple sensors continuously monitor system performance and display alerts if an issue occurs.
Supervision software is included for enhanced test control, monitoring, and reporting.
