The Saybolt Chromometer is a precision instrument designed to measure the color of refined petroleum products such as undyed motor and aviation gasoline, jet fuels, naphtha, kerosene, and petroleum waxes with ASTM color values of 0.5 or lower. The system operates by visually comparing a sample column against standardized color discs under a consistent and uniform light source, providing accurate and repeatable Saybolt Color values. The Saybolt Wax Chromometer expands testing capabilities to non-fluid wax samples by maintaining them in a molten state throughout the analysis.
